Sometimes things don't work out like you expect. Working for Sun/MySQL was one of those things.

I certainly used to care a lot more about politics than I do today, and my comment that it absolutely matters who wins seems rather prescient given our current trumpster fire.

The first six months of 2008 did not see much LiveJournal writing. Neither did the second six.

Mr. Blackbird ends 2007 in a seething rage due to work-related bullshit. This elephant does not look angry, but he is going to be the image for this post anyway.

Ah yes, the infamous bucket list. Not much else of note in H1 2007, although it is funny how dumb a lot of the items on that list are. I should think bigger.

Summer in Japan, a death in the family with little emotional impact, and the thoughts of running 13 miles. Second half of 2006.

Last month we dropped 12 pounds in 19 days, and here we unloaded another 11 in 18 days - proof that the chicken is a powerful thing. Cluck cluck, mothercluckers!

Lots and lots of chicken is consumed in the month of PSMF - April 2005.

Largely a lot of diet and workout stuff this month, but also a mathematical approach to the question of whether or not there are an infinite number of thoughts.
