Schrödinger's Universe

What is this, you ask? Right now it's the rough and unedited beginning of a story. I have not written any fiction in a long, long time, but I've been kicking around an idea for a few months now, and since I've got a bit of creative doldrums going on at the moment, why not see what happens if I try to put something together? I don't have any sense of how long it's going to be, or when I'm going to work on it - or if I'm going to write everything in this one post or split it up (most likely it will be multiple posts).

One other thing - if you're actually reading this - it is likely to change frequently, even parts that you think you've read before, and it is definitely not always guaranteed to be in a complete or coherent state. Don't assume that what is here today is the same as what will be here tomorrow. I change my mind - a lot.

Oh, hey, there's nothing here....

Where's all the text? I decided to take it offline. Not because I care whether or not anyone reads it before it's finished, but because it's actually really distracting to try to write this in the blog platform I use (white background, black text - hurts my eyes) and also because I think I'll find more flexibility in having more ways to edit. So, if you were reading it and wondering what was going to happen, don't worry, it will be back. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's OK, all will be revealed in the fullness of time.
